Living in a forest? MasterShield will make life much easier by keeping all those leaves and needles out of your gutters
Practically the week after this couple moved into their new home, their gutters were already completely clogged with fir needles. Because it was such a new home, we just cleaned their gutters, instead of installing our own new seamless gutters, and installed black MasterShield on them.
When gutters plug and flow back under the roof, rot occurs. Luckily, we were able to repair this before it spread too far.
As you can see in these pictures the damage done to the roof has caused extensive rot to the fascia board and rafter tails. The homeowner had the damage to the tile roof fixed prior to the installation of the new gutter and MasterShield. In the after photo you can see the huge difference once the new gutters and MasterShield were installed. Now the homeowners can finally relax knowing that they have taken care of the problem and will no longer have to worry about leaves, needles, or debris getting into their gutters ever agian.
A homeowner installed a DIY product on his home that he purchased at his local big box store. He thought the product was working, that is until he noticed water running down behind his gutters. Upon further inspection, it was noted that there was significant fascia damage and that the covered gutters were full of needles and debris. New fascia board and gutters were installed and set for a future installation of the MasterShield gutter protection system.
This is an unfortunate design with multiple valleys converging to one spot. We were able to custom design the MasterShield to maintain a slope even here so the fir needles and tree debris can shed off the gutter guards.
This adorable home was hiding a dirty little secret! This home looked perfectly fine to the untrained eye, however, upon closer inspection it was shown to have extensive rot to the fascia board just below its cheery surface. To bring it back to its former glory all rotten fascia was removed and replaced, new gutters, downspouts, and the MasterShield gutter protection system were installed. This cute, little cottage is now free of rot and full of potential!
The pictures here show the damage done by backflow from the LeafGuard gutter system. The fascia behind the LeafGuard was completely rotted and had to be replaced. Backflow occurs when the precipitation hits the solid lid of LeafGuard and instead of it draining into the reverse curve system, the water drains behind the system and causes the fascia board to rot. For these homeowners the old gutters system was removed, all rotten fascia was replaced, and new gutters with the MasterShield HydroVortex technology. The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing that the gutter system installed on their home won't cause any damage.
Pine needles are long, flexible, and, unfortunately, problematic for your gutters. They can clog up your gutters in no time at all. This is what was happening to this homeowner in Snohomish, WA. We were able to solve this problem by installing MasterSheild gutter guards in green.

We added a new 10" Hardie Trim fascia board to the eaves which gives it a much nicer curb appeal. The reveal beneath the gutter looks great and now since it's fiber cement it can never rot and won't need paint. Then we added the MasterShield Gutter Guards for fir needles so this Bellevue area customer won't have to clean gutters anymore.
We removed the old gutters that were rotting the roof and fascia and installed new, larger painted cedar fascia around the entire perimeter.
MasterShield was desperately needed on his old home in Renton, WA. As we see occur in so many cases, the gutters had clogged and backflow, causing water damage to the home. Some "tiger stripes" were even visible. This occurs when the gutters clog to the point where the water overflows the top of the gutter and drips over the side, leaving stripes and residue on the side. Our team installed new MasterShield gutter filters in musket brown to prevent this from ever happening again.
Marysville MasterShield Gutter Guard for Fir Needles.

After, we repaired the damaged fascia and soffits and installed the MasterShield Gutter Guard in white to prevent needles from messing with their gutters any longer. We also installed new white gutters and downspouts.

This customer was getting fir needles in the gutter even though they're on top of a mountain with no trees overhead. We installed MasterShield Gutters which we believe is the answer to fir needles in gutters.

This condo complex had Leaf Filter installed on their gutters only two years prior to calling MasterShield. Two years is all it took for the Leaf Filter to fail completely, allowing water to cascade over the system and ruin not only the fascia but also areas of siding. The original system allowed leaves, needles, and debris to sit on top of the shield that was placed at a 90* angle, allowing algae to grow and clog the micro mesh! MasterShield does not have these problems because it is installed at the same pitch as your roof, no selves created here!! As stated by MasterShield.com "the patented 'Leaf Release' nonstick surface mirror roof pitch and won't permanently trap debris...raised steps (in the filter system) help to 'elevate' debris allowing max wind flow down the roof and over the gutters to dry debris and blow it away."
This home was located under many pine trees. The constant bombardment of needles meant that their gutters were continuously clogged. We were able to install a new gutter guard system that will protect them from leaves and even pine needles.
We installed a new gutter guard system on this home. Now the homeowner doesn't have to worry about gutter cleaning with this maintenance free system.
This home in Seattle was in undated with needles, debris, and moss clogging the gutters. The home owners had enough climbing up on a ladder every few months to take care of the problem, so they made the wise decision to take care of the problem for good, and called Leafless in Seattle to have the MasterShield gutter protection system. New gutters and downspouts were installed, along with the MasterShield system. The gutters are now problem free and the family can finally enjoy their home in the Emerald City!
We say it over and over but it's worth repeating: nothing will shed off your gutters if you don't have enough of a slope. MasterShield angles the gutter guard so it's steep like your roof so that the gutter muck actually falls off instead of just piling up on top and plugging the system.
When a DIY gutter guard from a local Big Box Store is installed on a home in the Graham area, the homeowner quickly finds out that, not only are they not working, but they are also damaging the siding on his home! There is moss and debris on top of the guards and growing out of the gutters. The situation needed to be remedied quickly to avoid any more damage to his home and shop. All the gutters, DIY gutter guard, rotted fascia, and debris were removed from the house and shop. New gutters, fascia, and MasterShield were installed and the homeowner is now happy and stress-free when it comes to his gutters!
Before we arrived, a plethora of different kinds of leaves and needles were clogging this homeowner's gutters and creating a nasty, rotten sludge. As you can see from the before picture, moss was even growing and building up in and around the gutters as a result of the stagnant water.
We recycled and disposed of their old gutters, and replaced them with our seamless white gutters and new grey downspouts. Then to ensure that these homeowners would never have to worry about clogged and backflowing gutters ever again, we installed MasterShield gutter covers in white.
The gutters on this Lynden, WA area home were so full of evergreen leaves, pods, and standing water that they, quite literally, fell off the rafters they were staked into! Leafless in Seattle's outstanding service team was able to replace all rotten rafters, add much needed fascia board, and install new gutters with MasterShield that were screwed into the new fascia board, insuring that they will stay right where they were installed for decaded to come!
Mastershield Leaf Filters installed on a glass and metal roof (skywall) using a custom sheet metal break to bend the system into the shape we needed. We've matched the slope of the skywall to ensure debris like fir needles will shed.
